Tianhe district will foster clusters of modern services and strategic emerging industries, according to Guangzhou's 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25).

Its five leading industries will be the focus -- finance, modern information technology, modern business, high-end professional service and modern urban industry.

The district will also design plans for future industries such as terahertz technology and quantum communication.

The modern service industry will land in the Tianhe Central Business District, the Tianhe Road business area and Shahe area. And the Guangzhou International Finance Town and Tianhe Smart City will be the key areas for artificial intelligence and the digital economy.
