Guangzhou, Auckland and LA eye up cooperation

The mayors of Auckland in New Zealand and Los Angeles in the United States sent video messages to the opening ceremony of the seventh Guangzhou Annual Investment Conference on March 30.

Guangzhou, Auckland and Los Angeles forged a "tripartite economic association" in 2014, which has since been developed into an major platform for cooperation among the three cities in areas such as the economy, commerce and investment. 

Eric Garcetti, mayor of Los Angeles, has shown optimism about further cooperation between the three cities in the future.

Phil Goff, mayor of Auckland, has spoken highly of the association, noting that the association has achieved remarkable outcomes in commercial cooperation, creating a lot of job opportunities for people and contributing a lot to the economic growth of the three countries.
