Delegates to the 32nd APEC Small and Medium Enterprises Ministerial Meeting visited tech enterprises in Tianhe district on Sept 1 and were impressed by the city's technological advancements in flying cars, humanoid robots, and digital twins.

They had an immersive tour at XPeng Technology Park in Tianhe Smart City, Guangzhou Frontop Computer Graphics Technology, a leading 3D architecture rendering and animation company, and the Haixinsha Omni-space Intelligent Experience Center, learning about the city's cutting-edge technologies.

A delegate from the Republic of Korea expressed admiration for the technologies, particularly the flying cars resembling helicopters, and expressed interest in future collaborations with Guangdong.

The visit also highlighted XPeng's rapid growth and expansion into flying vehicles. The company reported a 126 percent year-on-year increase in vehicle deliveries in 2025 and has launched what it says is the world's first mass-production factory for intelligent flying cars.

Frontop showcased its AI-driven solutions, emphasizing its role in making advanced technology accessible to SMEs across various industries.

Meanwhile, the Haisensha Omni-space Intelligent Experience Center presented integrated smart systems spanning low-altitude economy and intelligent robotics.

A Chilean delegate said that Chile boasts abundant tourism offering and encouraged the use of 3D and other digital technologies to showcase the country's tourism landscape to the world, expressing hope for deeper collaboration in this field.
