New children's palace set to open in September
The highly anticipated new Tianhe Children's Palace, located in International Finance City in Tianhe district, is set to open in September.
This marks the first major public facility in the area, operating under a single administrative framework with two venues alongside the Longkou West Children's Palace. Together, they will offer capacity for 12,333 students, an 18.64 percent increase from 2025, easing the demand for high-quality educational resources.

With a floor area of 8,774 square meters and a total construction area of 38,652 sq m, the new facility is designed as a multi-dimensional educational ecosystem. It comprises seven functional zones that integrate the arts, technology, sports, and community service.
Highlights include a 660-seat professional theater, a multifunctional science and art zone, and a sports complex. Notably, the seventh-floor science museum and eighth-floor sports hall offer cutting-edge facilities for tech innovation and sports training, respectively.
This state-of-the-art facility promises to be a vibrant hub for learning and creativity, where education extends beyond traditional classrooms into every corner of this dynamic space.
The palace's upgraded curriculum includes over 60 specialized courses, fostering a rich environment for children's development. Supported by renowned educators and artists, it is poised to become a cultural and educational hub, enhancing the region's humanistic and urban vitality.
