Tianhe approved to build National Digital Trade Demonstration Zone
Tianhe district has been approved as a National Digital Trade Demonstration Zone, making it the only district in Guangdong province on the list announced by the Ministry of Commerce.
With its strategic positioning as a National Digital Services Export Base, National Cultural Export Base, and National Data Industry Cluster, Tianhe has developed a robust model integrating service exports, cultural exports, and data empowerment.
In 2025, Tianhe's core digital economy industries achieved an added value of 155.35 billion yuan ($23 billion), accounting for over 22.1 percent of the district's GDP.
The district hosts over 25,000 digital service enterprises, including industry leaders like Kugou, Mobvista, and 4399 Network, covering key sectors such as digital entertainment, cross-border marketing, fintech, and big data applications.

The district's digital trade strength is also reflected in its latest performance: from January to July, its National Digital Services Export Base exports exceeding $2 billion, up 14.3 percent year-on-year.
