A delegation consisting of 21 journalists and online influencers from 11 ASEAN member states visited Guangzhou on July 27. Centered on two low-carbon sectors — green power and smart agriculture — the visit served as an important platform for people-to-people exchanges between China and ASEAN.

ASEAN media practitioners and online creators will share their on-site observations via overseas social media channels, highlighting China's successful practices in developing new power systems and advancing digital transformation in agriculture.

The delegation's first stop was the Moonlight Box, the Lieqiao Substation of China Southern Power Grid's Guangdong branch, which stands alongside the river. The Moonlight Box features transparent exhibition zones, functioning both as a key piece of urban infrastructure and a popular science education venue.

Sein Phyo Hlaing stated that he intended to promote the innovative practice of transforming a power substation into a public popular science space on his social media accounts, showcasing the harmony between the Pearl River scenery and the urban skyline.

The group later toured the exhibition hall of XAG Technology. Indonesian online influencer Selly Gouw remarked that the visit was entertaining yet informative, striking a balance between engagement and practical value. She noted that agriculture underpinned human survival, and smart agricultural machinery and digital farm technologies carried global significance, delivering tangible benefits to farmers worldwide.

As a major agricultural nation heavily reliant on planting industries, Indonesia can greatly benefit from intelligent farming equipment. Such technology drastically boosts operational efficiency, shortens farming cycles, and cuts overall planting costs over the long run, perfectly aligning with Indonesia's drive for agricultural modernization.

Selly Gouw was deeply impressed by Guangzhou's well-organized urban governance and extensive urban green coverage. Sound urban management, abundant green ecological resources, and cutting-edge innovation in energy and agriculture allowed her to witness Guangzhou's unique strengths in building a livable city while advancing scientific and technological development.
