Unique Tianhe routes perfect for parent-child summer outings

To enrich summer travel options for residents and visitors, the Guangzhou bureau of culture, radio, television and tourism has rolled out 20 premium summer tourist routes. Integrating high-quality cultural and tourism offering across the city, the routes cater to diverse demands including family study tours and urban leisure. Two distinctive routes from Tianhe district are on the list, offering refreshing summer getaway experiences.

Visitors watch the stunning Tesla Coil lightning show at Grandview Science Museum and Grandview Planetarium.

The first route, Fun Science Exploration Study Tour, includes Keyun Park (Flying Car Science Popularization Exhibition Hall), Grandview Mall and the Guangdong Museum. Visitors can learn about low-altitude economy and aircraft at the nation's first flying car exhibition hall. At Grandview Mall, they may explore Grandview Science Museum, Planetarium and Natural Science Museum, watch the Tesla Coil lightning show, experience the simulated Tianhe Core Module, and view the Medusaceratops fossil. 

A special Marvel Spider-Man exhibition is available throughout the summer. The Guangdong Museum hosts one of South China's major natural resources exhibitions, alongside three special shows featuring Renaissance masterpieces, an immersive Van Gogh digital art display and a beetle-themed exhibition, blending science, nature and art.

Huacheng Square offers an ideal vantage point to admire the cluster of CBD landmarks and the full urban skyline.

The second route, Journey Through Past and Present: Fun Urban Parent-child Tour, stretches along Guangzhou's New Central Axis, linking Huacheng Square, the East and West Towers CBD, Guangzhou Library and Haixinsha Asian Games Park. Huacheng Square commands panoramic views of the Zhujiang New Town skyline and features an evening musical fountain. Shaped like stacked giant books, Guangzhou Library boasts a scholarly atmosphere and features a digital art exhibition themed on Li Bai this summer. 

Haixinsha Asian Games Park preserves Asian Games heritage. It boasts lush vegetation by day and shimmering riverside lights after dark, combining natural scenery with cultural heritage. Focusing on science education and urban culture respectively, the two routes deliver differentiated summer travel choices for families with children.
