Tianhe launches inaugural community-level super football league
The inaugural super football league of Tianhe village community concluded on June 6 at the Tianhe village football field, dubbed "Guangzhou's Rio de Janeiro".
The three-a-side tournament featured eight teams of local residents and business owners competing across 20 intense group-stage and knockout matches, demonstrating strong sportsmanship and teamwork.

Over the three-day event, neighbors of all ages forged friendships. On the sidelines, families formed cheer squads to offer support, while community staff, volunteers, referees, and medical personnel ensured everything went smoothly.
More than just a competition, the league advanced the national fitness-for-all initiative and served as a manifestation of Tianhe South Street's development philosophy, which emphasizes the integration of business, residential, and cultural life.
The event fostered community spirit and strengthened residents' sense of belonging. Organizers plan to make it an annual event, further building the community sports brand and allowing more residents to experience the joy and camaraderie of football.
