The GDP of Tianhe district of Guangzhou – the capital of South China's Guangdong province – surpasses 700 billion yuan ($101 billion) in 2025.

For three consecutive years (2023-25), the district ranked among the top three in the CCID List of China's Top 100 Districts.

The district has been building out its "12126" modern industrial system, establishing a 1 trillion-yuan modern commerce industry, a 200 billion-yuan software industry, and four 100 billion-yuan industries in finance, high-end professional services, manufacturing, and construction.

n 2025, Tianhe's artificial intelligence industry reached 56 billion yuan, and the financial sector's added value grew to 170.3 billion yuan, representing a 7.5 percent increase and 52.9 percent of the city's total.

Over the past three years, Tianhe has attracted 538 industrial projects, including seven projects valued at 10 billion yuan and investments from 26 Fortune 500 companies. A 2 billion-yuan industrial fund was established, and from 2022 to 2025, 420,000 new enterprises were registered, averaging 1,000 new businesses per day in 2025.
