Tianhe district has been recognized as one of China's most growth-potential districts (counties) in the low-altitude economy in 2026 due to its strong industrial foundation, outstanding innovation ecosystem, and forward-looking industrial layout.

The announcement was made at the 10th Drone World Congress and 2026 Unmanned Aerial Systems Expo on May 21 in Shenzhen, Guangdong province.

Tianhe is emerging as a key hub for the growth of the low-altitude economy. Leading enterprises are clustering here, with global unicorn XPeng Huitian unveiling the world's first modular flying car and EHang introducing the first self-developed passenger eVTOL aircraft to obtain all four necessary certifications.

Tianhe-based company Chengzhi Intelligence made a stunning debut at this year's conference, launching two major innovative solutions. This marks the company's transition from focusing on low-altitude security to a new phase of "full-space intelligent security", exemplifying the innovative vitality of Tianhe's low-altitude economy.

In October 2025, Tianhe district introduced policies to accelerate the high-quality development of the low-altitude economy and the aerospace industry. A comprehensive support system has been established, encompassing infrastructure, technological innovation, scenario application, and talent development.

This year's Unmanned Aerial Systems Expo spans 110,000 square meters, featuring 1,220 companies from 17 countries and regions, showcasing thousands of low-altitude devices, including drones, eVTOLs, and flying cars.
