As Guangzhou celebrates the 16th China Tourism Day on May 19, the city's Tianhe district, as the cultural tourism hub of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, has hosted over 100 activities spanning day and night throughout the month to cater to people of all ages.

Tianhe has transformed into an immersive playground, featuring diverse music performances, themed exhibitions, and unique markets. Highlights included the fourth annual pet festival at Grandview Mall, offering a real-life "Zootopia" experience.

From May 23 to 29, the Guangdong Olympic Sports Center will host the 2026 National Diving Championships, marking the first national diving event since the 15th National Games. Top divers will deliver a spectacular display of strength and grace.

Cultural offerings include high-caliber performances at the Guangzhou Opera House, such as the award-winning Cantonese Opera The Legend of the White Snake. Museums and galleries have presented exhibitions like the Lacquerware - Canton-made Lacquerware in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) at the Guangdong Museum, highlighting historical craftsmanship.

Family-friendly activities combine nature, science, and interactive fun, with events like the "Museum Night Adventure" at the Grandview Museum of Natural Science, offering an immersive overnight experience.
