Snooker Stars Invitational Tournament dazzles in Tianhe

The CBSA Snooker Stars Invitational Tournament is scheduled to take place in Guangzhou on May 9-10 at the Gymnasium of South China Agricultural University in Tianhe district.

All eyes will be on 22-year-old Wu Yize, who recently won the 2026 World Championship at the Crucible Theatre. This tournament will mark his first appearance since claiming the title. He will be joined by snooker legends, including four-time World Champions John Higgins, known as "The Wizard of Wishaw", and Mark Selby as well as three-time champion Mark Williams, famously called "The Welsh Potting Machine", along with single-time champions Judd Trump and Kyren Wilson.

This event, which celebrates Guangzhou's rich snooker culture, is returning for its second year at a venue that can accommodate nearly 8,000 spectators.

The tournament features two matches daily, with players Trump and Selby competing on both days. Wu is set to face Higgins on the afternoon of May 9. All matches will follow a best-of-nine frames format.
