Progress has been made in expansion of two educational facilities in Tianhe, as the land use for the projects has been approved by local authorities. These developments are set to enhance the supply of high-quality public services in the northeastern part of Tianhe district.

The two projects involve the Xiangyun Campus of the Kindergarten Affiliated to Guangzhou Preschool Teachers College and Gaotangshi Primary School under Guangzhou Huayang Education Group.

Founded in 1948, Gaotangshi Primary School has evolved from a village school into a participant in National Youth Campus Football League. In 2023, it joined the Guangzhou Huayang Education Group, embarking on a new journey of high-quality development. The current expansion will double its capacity from 12 to 24 classes, adding more than 9,000 square meters of new floor space to help ease the long-standing shortage of school facilities in the area.

Meanwhile, the Xiangyun Campus of the kindergarten, located in the core area of Tianhe Smart City, is designed to address the lack of public preschool education. The project plans to construct a new nine-class kindergarten, operated by the Kindergarten Affiliated to Guangzhou Preschool Teachers College.

Once completed, the two projects are expected to optimize the distribution of educational resources and support balanced, high-quality basic education in Tianhe's northeastern region.
