Tianhe launches Guangdong's first ACG theme park
The first animation-comics-games (ACG) theme park in Guangdong province has been launched at the Yangcheng Creative Industry Park in Tianhe, aiming to boost the local digital creative industry and support the integration and upgrading of the cultural sector across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The park was inaugurated on March 28 at the High-Quality Development Conference of the Lingnan Digital Creative Building. As a key initiative in Guangdong's gaming and esports sector, this project is set to create the province's first landmark theme park dedicated to ACG culture.
The park, envisioned as a "24-hour dynamic co-living circle", is set to integrate IP incubation, immersive experiences, trendy consumption, community interaction, and industry empowerment. It will transform former factory areas into anime-themed areas and adopt a B2B2C (business-to-business-to-consumer) model to serve both businesses and consumers. Major IPs from industry leaders like Tencent and NetEase will be featured.
Structured around a "one axis, five zones" layout, the park will offer diverse themed areas and host seasonal events. The project will be developed in three phases over five years, with the goal of establishing a smart park and a cultural hub for the Greater Bay Area.
