A promotional event exploring how technological innovation empowers industrial integration was held on March 24 at the International Guangzhou Science and Technology Achievement Transformation Tianhe Base, with 10 speakers at the forefront of technological innovation sharing their inspiring stories.

Among them were representatives from PCI Technology and EHang, both based in Tianhe district, who shared stories behind their cutting-edge innovations, highlighting the strength of Guangdong's innovation-driven development.

Tian Jiayi from PCI Technology told a compelling story, illustrating the deep integration of technological and industrial innovation. "Previously, the core technologies were imported; now we are able to innovate on our own," she said. The company's smart metro solutions have been implemented in 46 cities nationwide, capturing over 80 percent of the smart rail transit market and serving billions of trips daily.

He Tianxing, vice-president of EHang, credited Guangdong's strong industrial foundation, vibrant market environment, solid policy support, and rich innovation atmosphere for the company's rapid growth over the past 12 years. EHang not only developed the world's first autonomous passenger drone but also established the first command center for such drones, becoming the first publicly listed urban air mobility company in the world.
