AI industrial park rapidly taking shape in Tianhe
Construction of the China Artificial Intelligence (Guangzhou) Industrial Park, located in the western part of Guangzhou International Financial City in Tianhe, has been making significant progress.
The main structures of its three super-high-rise landmarks, each reaching up to 248 meters, are expected to be topped out this year. The entire project is expected to be completed and operational by early 2028.
Covering a total construction area of around 460,000 square meters, the industrial park aims to establish itself as a globally competitive hub for the AI industry. With a total investment of about 8 billion yuan ($1.2 billion), it seeks to become a benchmark for the integration of the digital and real economies, supporting Guangzhou's ambition to develop a leading AI industrial cluster in China.
By incorporating AI technologies, the project is also enhancing the level of management and operational safety. The construction site is equipped with a drone inspection system integrated with smart light poles, allowing for regular aerial inspections to ensure the adequacy of safety measures. Additionally, smart distribution boxes are being installed to provide immediate warnings and remote power shutdowns in the event of electrical faults, thereby improving on-site safety.
