Tianhe brings authentic Xinjiang flavors
Located in the Xinjiang Mansion in Tianhe, the Silk Road Feast restaurant offers an immersive cultural experience, combining authentic ingredients with vibrant ethnic performances.
To ensure a genuine flavor, the restaurant airlifts fresh mutton daily from Xinjiang, where it is known for its tender texture without the typical gamey taste of lamb.
The restaurant's signature roasted whole lamb takes center stage. Roasted over traditional fruitwood, it boasts golden, crisp skin and tender, juicy meat. Other popular dishes include Xinjiang da pan ji (big plate chicken) with soft braised potatoes, and roasted lamb buns with a crunchy crust and savory mutton filling.
Beyond the classics, the restaurant also offers healthier creations featuring tiger nuts, a sweet tuber popular in Xinjiang that is rich in fiber and healthy fats. Known locally as "golden beans", they are used to make drinks such as tiger-nut soy milk and craft beer, giving traditional ingredients a modern twist.
As evening falls, the dining hall becomes a stage for Xinjiang's famous folk dances. Dancers in traditional costumes move to the beat of drums, recreating the festive atmosphere of the Tianshan Mountains.
