Guangzhou kicked off its She-Economy Consumption Week at Haixinsha Asian Games Theme Park on March 6. The five-day event running through March 10 is organized in celebration of International Women's Day on March 8.

The event features a themed fair with 80 standard booths and 15 specially designed ones, tailored to women's diverse consumer needs. It is divided into five specialized zones covering gourmet food, apparel, leisure tours, interactive experiences, and premium goods.

On display are time-honored Cantonese delicacies, trendy clothing, Xiangyunsha silk, Cantonese embroidery, intangible cultural heritage handicrafts, skincare products, and cultural and creative goods. Experience zones for wellness services and automobiles are also available.

A series of nightly themed performances will be staged during the event: a concert on March 6, a Cantonese Opera showcase on March 7, a children's art exchange concert on March 8, and a flash sing-along of classic Cantonese oldies on March 9.

An interactive public area named "Wishes for Spring Blossoms" and a "Future Post Office" offer visitors a place to write down their wishes. A special City Walk for women from the Greater Bay Area, featuring a specially designed route, will be held on March 10.

The event aims to set an example for future consumption promotion initiatives, boosting the city's consumer market while celebrating the diverse ways women pursue a better life.
