Tianhe district in Guangzhou has launched its "Wan De Xi" (Wonderday) New Year events, bringing festive activities to two neighborhood venues through early February 2026.

The events are currently being held at the south zone of Mall of the World (Huacheng Hui), where a large amusement castle and a festive New Year market will remain open through Jan 24. A second lineup of activities will follow at Liede Community from Feb 1 to 8, featuring locally organized games, a traditional Chinese New Year market, and community basketball matches.

Visitors can participate in classic games to earn points, which are redeemable for vouchers, home appliances, and cultural products. Featured items include auspicious long socks, luminous feather dusters, and playful, funky bags. Shoppers will also find Chinese New Year specialty foods and products from emerging brands like LipdaK alongside offerings from established local vendors.
