The Tianhe Road Business Circle welcomed over 600 million visitors in 2024, with total merchandise sales exceeding 600 billion yuan ($85.36 billion). The business circle comprises seven large shopping centers, housing 147 specialized cosmetics stores and counters offering over 40,000 products.

The cosmetics safety governance zone initiative in the area has largely met its targets. The district is collaborating with commercial venues like Parc Central to support leading enterprises in participating in international events. It has also adopted a "cosmetics week IP and live-streaming e-commerce" approach to help brands expand their reach.

Most cosmetics enterprises in the district adhere to a "brand operation and outsourced production" model, concentrating on research, development, and marketing, while production is conducted in Baiyun district and the Yangtze River Delta region. For instance, Guangzhou Stars Pulse invested approximately 140 million yuan in R&D in 2024, representing an R&D intensity of 6.62 percent. To date, it has accumulated 927 authorized patents, including 90 invention patents and 738 registered trademarks, and has helped formulate five national standards and 16 industry group standards.
