MGM Resorts to launch new project in Tianhe
MGM Resorts is set to make a significant impact in China with its latest venture, the "Guangzhou Haixinsha Carnival", the company's first urban cultural tourism fair in the country.
The fair is spearheaded by MGM's subsidiary, China-US Holiday (Guangzhou) Cultural Tourism Development, which has set up operations in the Tianhe Central Business District of Guangzhou with a registered capital of 10 million yuan ($1.4 million). The company has announced that it will invest 150 million yuan in the cultural tourism project.
Renowned for its century-long legacy in the entertainment and hotel business, MGM operates numerous high-end cultural tourism events and destinations worldwide, including luxury hotels, large-scale performances, and unique fairs. The "Guangzhou Haixinsha Carnival" promises to become a central attraction for winter cultural tourism with its diverse offerings and festival collaborations.

This fair represents a strategic expansion for MGM into China's cultural tourism market. Set in the Haixinsha Asian Games Park, it aims to create new urban tourism scenarios and stimulate market growth.
The fair will feature 16 large amusement rides, 108 games, and over 200 curated food stalls offering global and local cuisines. Additionally, more than 500 brand pop-up shops will be showcased, complemented by performances at an outdoor theater, creating a "daytime leisure + nighttime entertainment" experience.
By vitalizing Tianhe's night economy, the fair will elevate Guangzhou's festive entertainment scene and highlight the innovative spirit of the Guangdong- Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
