Tianhe expands rail network to boost GBA connectivity
In late September, Tianhe expanded its rail network by launching five new lines simultaneously. These include two metro routes and three intercity railways, improving connectivity within the Greater Bay Area and enabling direct links between cities.

Tianhe now operates 11 metro lines with 61 stations, making it one of Guangzhou's top districts for rail density. The launch of Metro Line 13 Phase II (Tianhe Park-Yuzhu Section) has alleviated passenger pressure on Line 5. Tianhe Park Station, now serving three interchange lines, improves travel convenience for residents.

Furthermore, the Guangzhou East Ring intercity railway links Keyun Road Station with Guangzhou South Station and Baiyun Airport, creating a cohesive transport network that positions Tianhe within the Greater Bay Area's "306090" traffic circle.
The expanded network strengthens links between Tianhe and key areas such as Zhujiang New Town, Guangzhou International Financial City, and Pazhou, supporting the flow of talent, capital, and technology.
Through ongoing road projects and the redevelopment of Guangzhou East Railway Station, Tianhe is expanding its economic influence and fostering regional collaboration.
