The 2025 China Lion Carnival (Guangzhou Station) concluded on Oct 25 at Huacheng Square in Tianhe Central Business District, after nearly a month of vibrant activities.

Kicking off on Sept 27 under the theme "lion dance: Guangzhou's heart, Xiancun's art", the event brought together 53 top-tier lion dance teams from 11 districts across Guangzhou, drawing tens of thousands of spectators.

A traditional gong-striking ritual at the closing ceremony marked the start of the finals, where the competing teams delivered skilled performances. The Tianhe team ultimately claimed the top honor, recognized for their technical execution and coordinated teamwork. An award ceremony followed, where guests presented trophies and certificates to the winning teams.

The carnival created a new public model by combining competitive lion dance, intangible cultural heritage displays, family activities, and cultural creative products. This blend of offerings attracted a surge of visitors, boosting local cultural consumption and commercial vitality while building anticipation for the upcoming 15th National Games.
