Guangdong wins men's water polo gold at 15th National Games
On the evening of Oct 27, the men's water polo final of the 15th National Games was held at the Guangdong Olympic Sports Center Swimming and Diving Hall. The defending champion, Guangdong, defeated Shanghai 16-9, securing its sixth National Games title, an event record.

Established in 1958, the Guangdong men's water polo team is one of China's earliest such teams. Over 66 years, the team has achieved numerous successes in domestic and international competitions and has contributed many players to the national team, with multiple athletes representing China at the Olympics and Asian Games.
