National Games water polo competition begins
Six consecutive days of men's water polo competitions, part of the 15th National Games, are in store at the Guangdong Olympic Center Aquatics Venue on Oct 22-27.
The event brings together teams from Guangdong, Shanghai, Hunan, Guangxi, Hong Kong, and other regions, with 104 athletes competing for the gold medal.
All venue preparations have been completed. Athletes from each delegation have arrived in advance and undergone training sessions. Security, medical services, sports presentations, and other departments have also switched to competition mode, while volunteers remain at the ready.
The venue welcomes guests from all over in its most impressive form. The building's blue-and-white spiral flowing design resembles rolling ocean waves. The newly renovated venue features an intelligent lighting control system and an upgraded pool water treatment system, creating an international-standard competition environment.
Tickets are affordably priced at 50 yuan ($7) per person, allowing spectators to watch multiple matches during the same half-day session.
