The exhibition will be open for one year, running through Oct 15, 2026. Its opening aligns with the 135th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair).

The exhibition presents a broad collection of over 200 cultural relics, carefully selected from the Guangdong Museum and various other national institutions. Among these, 22 are classified as Grade-I national treasures.

Notable artifacts on display include a 1.72-meter-long gold necklace from the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279), recovered from the "Nanhai I" shipwreck, and a gold ingot inscribed with details related to Admiral Zheng He's maritime voyages.

Through a systematic display of artifacts, historical documents, and multimedia installations, trace the development of Guangdong's foreign trade from the Tang (618-907) and Song (960-1279) dynasties onward. It emphasizes the province's lasting significance in the Maritime Silk Road and its connection to global trade networks throughout history.
