On Oct 12, the first gold medal in the shooting event of the 15th National Games was awarded at the Guangdong Shooting Range in Tianhe, Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong province.

In the mixed team 10-meter air rifle final, Liaoning Team 1 delivered a strong performance, defeating Fujian Team 1 with a score of 16-12 to claim the first championship in the shooting competition of this National Games.

In the bronze medal match, Sichuan Team 1 beat Yunnan Team 1 16-14 to secure third place. The host team, Guangdong Team 1, achieved a qualification score of 628.7 rings, ranking fifth.

The event attracted many top domestic athletes, including Olympic champions Yang Qian, Sheng Lihao, and Huang Yuting.
