Tianhe is said to lead Guangzhou in both the number of AI enterprises and the scale of application.

In 2024, the revenue of its AI enterprises above a designated size exceeded 53 billion yuan ($7.30 billion), accounting for over 40 percent of the city's total. In the first half of 2025, revenue reached 20.85 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.9 percent.

Tianhe is now home to more than 1,000 AI-related enterprises, covering the entire industry supply chain.

Leading companies are demonstrating strong competitiveness, with PCI Technology selected to be in the 2024 Hurun China AI Enterprises Top 50 list. Elsewhere, Quwan Technology was the only Guangzhou company on the 2025 Forbes China AI Tech Enterprises Top 50 list.

The district is reportedly continuing to enhance its AI industry ecosystem by developing specialized parks and introducing supportive policies.

Areas such as Guangzhou International Financial City and Tianhe Smart City have attracted nearly 20 innovation parks, providing a solid foundation for enterprises and talent.
