The groundbreaking ceremony for the Phase-I project of a biomedical and health industry base was held on Sept 15 in Tianhe district of Guangzhou.

It marked a significant milestone in the district's commitment to advancing the Healthy China Initiative and developing the life and health industries.

The project, with a total construction area of approximately 87,400 square meters, is set to become a fully equipped office building comprising research and development.

Funded and built by the Tianhe Investment Group, the project aims to establish a world-class innovation hub for the biomedical and health industry, thanks to collaboration with the Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center (Tianhe Campus).

As a national base for the research of innovative drugs, technologies, and equipment, the center will integrate cutting-edge diagnostics, basic research, and the commercialization of scientific research achievements.

Moreover, it will be dedicated to becoming a world-class cancer science center and a driving force for the advancement of the global life and health industry.

In the future, the project will offer customized promotion services to high-quality enterprises in the biomedical and health industry sectors.
