XPeng obtains special flight permit in UAE

On Sept 10 local time, XPeng AeroHT's "Land Aircraft Carrier" (X3-F) obtained a special flight permit in the UAE, initiating its manned test flights at various locations.

Representatives from the Ras Al Khaimah Department of Civil Aviation (RAKDCA), the UAE Transport Authority, and the General Civil Aviation Authority of the UAE presented the permit at a ceremony attended by senior Emirati officials and Chinese Ambassador Zhang Yiming. This marks the first time a Chinese flying car company has received a permit for manned overseas operations.

At the same time, XPeng AeroHT entered into a strategic partnership with the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority to work together on test flight certification and developing applications. The collaboration aims to explore real-world uses in government transport, tourism, and emergency services.

XPeng Founder Zhao Deli recognized the backing of UAE authorities and Chinese diplomatic missions, highlighting the UAE's supportive environment for advanced air mobility innovations. The cooperation seeks to position Ras Al Khaimah as a key center for future transportation tech and showcase Chinese advancements in global urban air mobility.
