Liede athlete powers Guangdong's golden sweep

Zhong Delun, a dragon boat racer from Tianhe's Liede village, was instrumental in Guangdong winning six gold medals at the 15th National Games dragon boat finals.

The Liede paddler secured double gold in both the men's 100m and 500m events, demonstrating consistent technique and effective teamwork.

Zhong's progression from a resident of Liede to a national champion highlights Tianhe's vibrant water sports scene. His achievements carry forward Liede's legacy, from the 1959 National Games to winning the 2024 International Dragon Boat Race in Perth, Australia.
