City's 1st instant tax refunds site lands in Tianhe
Guangzhou, the capital of South China's Guangdong province, has established its first centralized instant tax refunds center at Parc Central in the Tianhe Central Business District, enabling international visitors to process their VAT rebates in one go.
This initiative aims to make the refund process easier for travelers by avoiding long lines at airports and scattered procedures in different stores. Visitors can get their tax refunds right after buying eligible goods, improving their shopping experience in Guangzhou.
The innovative one-stop service offers "citywide refund", allowing tourists to process refunds not only where they bought an item but also to conveniently consolidate their instant refund claims at a single, centralized location in Parc Central. This removes geographical barriers, greatly increasing flexibility for visitors, and enables international travelers to receive their tax refund in just a few minutes, saving time and effort.

Parc Central is surrounded by major commercial complexes. The creation of the centralized refund hub helps link various businesses in the area, producing a cluster effect and building a comprehensive international consumer service network.
The implementation of centralized refund services is another key step for Guangzhou in improving the business environment, encouraging consumption upgrades, and strengthening the city's international image.
According to officials from local taxation authorities, the city will continue to actively explore a synergized approach with tax refund policies for international travelers, further enhancing cross-border consumer convenience.
