Tianhe event: Culturally rich martial arts exchange
The second Lingnan Intangible Cultural Heritage Martial Arts Exchange Event took place at the Guangdong Vocational Institute of Sport from June 6-7.
By combining martial arts with sportsmanship, the event served as a prelude to the 15th National Games, which is set to kick off in November, and an important initiative for the promotion of cultural integration in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The first day saw young people from Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao, and Malaysia present traditional and innovative martial arts routines at the Tianhe Cultural Center, captivating more than 400 guests on-site.
The next day, the invitational tournament saw fierce competition, underscoring the commitment to preserving Lingnan's cultural legacy.
