New Tianhe reception hall set to boost cultural exports
The new Tianhe National Cultural Export Base Reception Hall was inaugurated on Jan 3 at the Yangcheng Creative Industry Park.
The hall will host cultural displays, project negotiations and various other functions to facilitate the district's cultural industry's connection to international markets.

Tianhe district was named as a national cultural export base back in June 2018 and it has done extremely well since, with the value of its cultural product imports and exports totaling 1.62 billion yuan ($221.05 million) in the first 11 months of 2024, a whopping 58.3 percent year-on-year increase.
What's more, cultural services imports and exports hit $1.15 billion during the period, representing 66.96 percent year-on-year growth.
The Tianhe Going Global Alliance was established in 2023 during the development of the district as a national cultural export base. The alliance expanded its industry types from five to 11 categories within a year, with the total number of member business enterprises growing from 31 to 56.

Liu Rui, head of the Tec-Do Going Global Research Institute (Tec-Research), said that the opening of the Tianhe National Cultural Export Base Reception Hall would enable businesses to find attractive industry partners in a one-stop manner, thereby accelerating their outbound business operations.
In Tianhe, the Yangcheng Creative Industry Park has since its inception in 2007 fostered several emerging industries – including music broadcasting, gaming animations, e-commerce and artificial intelligence – with its annual output value now exceeding 30 billion yuan and the service import and export value surpassing $150 million.
Currently, the park houses over 190 companies including Kugou Music and LIZHI INC, with over 90 percent being cultural enterprises and it has presided over the stock market listing of nine of its companies.
