Exhibition celebrates Tianhe's intangible cultural heritage
Tianhe district's "Intangible Cultural Heritage in Schools" campaign achievement exhibition – along with the 10th-anniversary exhibition of its "Canton Embroidery in Schools" program – launched on Dec 5 at the Tianhe Cultural Arts Center.
Through a combination of stylish and immensely appealing artwork displays and information panels, organizers say the exhibition offers visitors a visual and cultural treat.
The event features traditions behind the Qixi Festival – also known as Chinese Valentine's Day – as well as Canton embroidery and Canton porcelain, among other things.
On show are works that have involved the participation of 26 schools, with nearly 200 creative exhibits of intangible cultural heritage.
Open to Dec 16, the exhibition is open to everyone, with no need to book.
