An event was held on Nov 9 at the Haixinsha Asian Games Park to mark the one-year countdown to the 15th National Games, the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities, and the 9th National Special Olympic Games, which will be jointly hosted by Guangdong province, Hong Kong, and Macao in 2025.

The official slogan, emblem, and mascots of the games were unveiled during the event.

The slogan, "Passionate National Games, Vibrant Greater Bay Area", embodies the dynamic spirit of the National Games while highlighting the unique collaboration among the three neighboring regions.

The emblem was designed centered around the themes of "unity, blossoming, and celebration". It represents the moment of a bursting firework, incorporating three colors that symbolize each region's iconic flower: the reddish-orange kapok flowers for Guangdong, the pink orchid for Hong Kong, and the green lotus for Macao.

Inspired by the Chinese white dolphin, a nationally protected wildlife species, the mascots for the upcoming games are introduced. The white mascot, Xi Yangyang, alongside the pink mascot, Le Rongrong, embodies the values of joy, harmony, and unity.

The emblem and mascots were created by the team led by Liu Pingyun, the chief designer for Bing Dwen Dwen, the official mascot of the 2022 Winter Olympics.
