The inaugural flight of the new low-altitude intercity route – connecting two sites in Guangzhou city and one in nearby Shenzhen city, both in South China's Guangdong province – took place on Oct 31.

At 12:10 pm on the day, an Airbus EC135 helicopter departed from the Shenzhen Greater China International Exchange Square City Terminal in Futian district of Shenzhen city with the inaugural group of passengers.

Following a 30-minute flight, the helicopter landed at the Haixinsha Asian Games Park – located in Tianhe district of Guangzhou city.

Subsequently, at 4:35 pm, the helicopter took off and reached Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in Guangzhou's Baiyun district after an 18-minute flight.
