The groundbreaking ceremony for the Fengzhushou Future Technology Building was held at the Guangzhou International Financial City in Guangzhou's Tianhe district on Sept 26.

"The building will serve as the headquarters office and center for research and development," said Luo Hongpeng, chairman of the board and founder of Fengzhushou, an innovative software technology enterprise based in Tianhe.

Luo added that the building will be constructed into a shared smart city complex that integrates science and technology demonstration and green ecology.

It will further accelerate the construction of the Guangzhou International Financial City and promote the formation of an industrial cluster and the development of new quality productive forces in Guangzhou.

The building will cover an area of 9,885 square meters and have a floorage of 43,000 sq m. It will have 21 floors above ground and three floors underground, with a total height of 109.3 meters. It is estimated to have a total investment of nearly 2 billion yuan ($285.26 million).
