Tianhe teenage project wins provincial honor
At the recently concluded Guangdong Voluntary Service Project Competition in Foshan, the "Secret Garden" mailbox project located in Guangzhou's Tianhe district attained the status of a provincial-level special key project for the care and support of children and adolescents.
The project was jointly operated by the Tianhe District Youth Volunteer Association and the Guangzhou Youth Social Work Service Center, focusing on providing psychological services at different levels for primary and secondary school students through online and offline channels.
It is imperative to prioritize the "strengthening teenagers' mental health care service" project, which has been identified as one of the top 10 livelihood initiatives in the district for 2024.

Since the launch of the project, a total of 2,541 letters have been received, with more than 300 letters being responded to annually. Moreover, 125 law-based publicity activities and 25 group activities have been carried out based on the common problems summarized in the letters.
More than 26,000 volunteer service activities have been conducted for students, with over 3,000 volunteers. The total volunteer service time has exceeded 9,000 hours.
A teenage rights and interests protection alliance was built by cooperating with over 20 well-known psychological service agencies, law firms, and social work service institutions in Tianhe. Through hotline consultation, offline one-to-one psychological consultation, and popularization of psychological knowledge, the alliance can offer professional mental health care services for teenagers.
