The International Vertical Marathon Open Guangzhou Huijin International Finance Center Station was a success on Aug 4, with over 500 participants who tackled the challenge of ascending the Huijin Twin Towers.

The Huijin Twin Towers, located in the Guangzhou International Financial City in Tianhe district, consist of the Canton Financial Center (Track A) and the Huijin International Financial Center (Track B). Together, they stand at a height of 540 meters and a total of 3,026 steps.

Competitors in the individual division were required to ascend Track A and Track B separately, with a designated track-changing area allowing for a maximum changeover time of up to 15 minutes. For the first time, the event also included a team relay race, where participants tackled Track A and Track B in relay format.

In the individual categories, Liu Longjian secured 1st place in the men's division with a time of 19 min 3 sec, while Zheng Bingling won in the women's division with a time of 22:21. The Yuancun Chamber of Commerce Team triumphed in the team relay, finishing with a time of 23:16.
