Tianhe youth orchestra wins intl music award
At the recent 10th Singapore Raffles International Music Festival, the Guangzhou Opera House Youth Orchestra achieved the highest honor, winning the Gold with Honors.
The competition attracted 34 groups worldwide, with more than 1,000 youth musicians.
The Guangzhou Opera House Youth Orchestra was established merely two years ago. The orchestra comprises members aged between7 and 12 years old, with an average of 10.
They performed the Chinese classic Jin She Kuang Wu (Dance of the Golden Snake) without a conductor, displaying their inheritance and innovation of traditional Chinese music culture.
