Curtain raised on Tianhe vocational skills competition
The 2024 Tianhe District Vocational Skills Competition raised its curtain on July 22 at the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Guangdong) Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubation Base in Guangzhou's Tianhe district.
This year's competition features seven diverse groups of tea art specialists, tea tasters, babysitters, health carers, business enterprise human resource managers, and internet marketers. The event attracted nearly 600 attendees.

Each group is poised to offer one first-, two second-, and three third-place prizes, with awards ranging from 10,000 yuan ($1,375) to 50,000 yuan. Eligible participants will be accorded a vocational skills level (Level 3) certificate.
Participants who win first prize in the competition groups, which number 20 to 59 people, or first and second prizes in the competition groups with over 60 people will be given the title of Guangzhou Technical Expert.

In recent years, Tianhe has been conducting online and offline training courses to improve talent's vocational skills further. Since 2020, more than 360,000 people have received skills training in the district.
