The first Tianhe Youth Tennis Exchange Tournament took place at the Tianhe Sports Center in Guangzhou on June 6, with teenage players from Tianhe and Singapore joining in to exchange with each other.

Finally, the Tianhe teenage tennis team drew 1-1 with Singapore's Davis Cup players. The under-16 men's and women's team won 1-0 against Singapore.

In recent years, Tianhe's teenage sports have seen steady development.

It was recognized by the General Administration of Sport of China as the "national high-level sports reserve talent base" for three consecutive cycles of the Olympic Games since 2012 and won the 2018-21 award of "Outstanding Contribution Unit" in Guangdong province.

In 2023, Tianhe won 136 gold, 73 silver, and 102 bronze medals in the Guangzhou Youth Championship.

Besides, Tianhe has formed a pattern of jointly carrying out sports with schools and social forces. It now has carried out 19 joint training programs with 18 schools and nine sports organizations and 15 cooperative training programs with 17 social sports organizations.

There are 3,610 amateur athletes in Tianhe, of which 2,790 participate in daily training.
