See dragon boat culture inheritance in Tianhe
Liede is a historic village located in the Tianhe central business district (CBD) of Guangzhou. Every year during the Dragon Boat Festival, Liede villagers show the inheritance of the dragon boat culture with the holding of "Long Chuan Jing".
"Long Chuan Jing", or Dragon Boat Scenes, is a folk activity in which dragon boats from villages across Guangzhou visit each other during the Dragon Boat Festival to strengthen friendships.
This year's "Long Chuan Jing" took place on June 10, welcoming dozens of dragon boats from villages across Guangzhou, including Siyou village of Yuexiu district, Pazhou village of Haizhu district, Tangkou village of Huangpu district, as well as Nanting village of Panyu district.
In the city center of Guangzhou – the Tianhe CBD, the lively traditional "Long Chuan Jing" activity in Liede village merges with the busy modern city. [Photo/WeChat account: tianhefabu]
