In 2020, Tianhe implemented a series of favorable policies to promote the high-quality development of talent. To date, the district has allocated nearly 120 million yuan ($16.58 million) in funds to support the advancement of over 300 high-level talent and the establishment of academician, postdoctoral, and doctoral workstations in more than 20 enterprises.
The district also created several platforms to make it easier for talent to start businesses and get employed.
The innovation source area in Wushan, covering 28 square kilometers, is home to 50 percent of the "double first-rate" universities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, 20 percent of national key laboratories, and 30 percent of disciplines in Guangdong province that are listed in the ESI global rankings.
There are many entrepreneurship and innovation service bases in Tianhe, including the Greater Bay Area (Guangdong) Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubation Base, the International Guangzhou Science and Technology Achievement Transformation Tianhe Base, and the Tianhe Talent Port.
Besides, a talent park is expected to be built in the district to provide leisure and entertainment activities for talent.
