The first batch of 40 female innovation and entrepreneurship pioneers in Guangzhou was recently launched. Among them, 14 are from Tianhe district, accounting for 35 percent of the total and ranking first in the city.

Of the 14 enterprises, 10 are engaged in strategic emerging industries, and nine are specialized, elaborative, characteristic, and innovative enterprises.

The total operating income of the 14 enterprises exceeded 7.2 billion yuan ($1 billion) in 2021, and the paid-in amount of value-added and corporate income tax surpassed 86.3 million yuan from 2019 to 2021.

Besides, they have formed a total of 156 patents, 294 copyrights, and 654 trademarks.

Zheng Caixia, vice general manager of Augur Intelligence Technology (Guangzhou), spoke highly of Tianhe's business environment, which has provided a "fertile soil" for the development of her company.

The district has offered innovation carriers, an innovation ecology, and innovation support for the rapid growth of innovation subjects, Zheng added.

"My company has successfully conducted product and model verification from inception to completion with the assistance and guidance of the government," said Li Yuanting, founder and CEO of Guangdong E-Tong Software.

She added that her company has undertaken six national key demonstrative applications and landed products in eight provinces.
