Up to now, there are 256 incubators and maker spaces in Guangzhou's Tianhe district, of which 66 are at or above the provincial level. Both numbers rank first among all the 11 districts in Guangzhou.

The district has been advancing its "Tianhe Superior Innovation" scheme since 2021, which aims at building the innovation and entrepreneurship incubation chain of the "maker space – the incubator –accelerator – industrial park".

Based on a report from 2023, the number of technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises in the district's incubators and maker spaces has been increasing consistently year on year. Additionally, there has been a rise in the number of specialized, elaborative, characteristic, and innovative enterprises that meet or exceed the provincial level.

Yeecheung Sunda Innovation Park, established in 2012, mainly engages in the fields of digital games, digital animation, VR production, audiovisual new media, and software development. The Hongtai Wisdom Valley is situated in the core area of the Tianhe Smart City, covering an area of over 30,000 square meters. Its main focus is on developing industries like artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, blockchain, and Internet+.
