Activity held to commemorate Hung Sin-nui
An activity was held at the Hung Sin-nui Arts Center in Guangzhou's Tianhe district on Dec 24 to commemorate the 98th anniversary of Hung Sin-nui's birth.
Born in Guangzhou, Hung Sin-nui (1924-2013) was a Cantonese Opera performer and the founder of the Hung school of performing arts for Cantonese Opera.
Themed on "the inheritance of Cantonese Opera", the activity featured four generations of performers.

Famous Cantonese Opera artists Guo Fengnyu, Ou Kaiming, and Su Chunmei, who were students of Hung, performed Cantonese Opera classics, such as Sou Shu Yuan (Search for the Academy) and Li Zhi Song (Lychee Ode), alongside young performers Chen Zhenjiang and Li Jiayi, from the Guangzhou Cantonese Opera Theater and the Guangzhou Red Bean Cantonese Opera Troupe.
Teenagers from the Xinghai Conservatory of Music and the children from the Cantonese Opera Art Museum's inheritance base of also staged performances like Mu Gui Ying Xun Ying (Mu Guiying Patrols the Camp) and E Hu Cun (Village of Tigers).
