Event brings various cuisines to Tianhe
The 2023 Guangzhou Gourmet Festival kicked off at the south square of the Tianhe Sports Center on Dec 20. Running through Dec 24, it has more than 100 brands offering all kinds of delicacies from around the country.
Four sections have been set up at the festival, namely fine food, must-eat food, hotel delicacies, and representative food. It also features interactive areas for music performances, documentary screenings, and livestreaming activities.
The event also organized Cantonese lion dance performances and Yingge dances to entertain the audience.
"The festival, an unprecedented food expo, aims to create a new food brand for Guangzhou, as well as to become the largest annual food event in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area," said Zhao Liping, head of the Guangdong Cuisine Association.
