Kenyan runner Moses Kibet clinched the men's championship title at the 2023 Guangzhou Marathon on Dec 10, with a time of 2 hr 9 min 2 sec.

Ethiopian athlete Gutney Shine Imana seized the women's championship title in 2:28:30.

Some 30,000 people participated in this year's full and half marathons. The starting point for both categories was the south square of the Tianhe Sports Center. The full marathon ended at Huacheng Square in Tianhe district, while the half marathon stopped at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Haizhu district.

Sun Xiaoyang won the men's half marathon in 1:09:30, while Huang Xuemei claimed the title in the women's group with a time of 1:16:37.
